4C and 4R had such a good time on our nature walk yesterday.

Here are a few important reminders from Margaret Wooding School. Lifetouch will be here this Friday to do school pictures. These will look like individual photos, so bring your best smiles. Because of changed protocols, Lifetouch is unable to do a group class photo this year. The schedule starts with grade 4's in the morning and works towards finishing with our grade 6's likely in the early afternoon. Once proofs are ready, all ordering for photos this year will be directly through Lifetouch. Our monthly awards assembly will take place digitally on Friday afternoon through a school google meet. This is a chance for us to recognize the strong citizenship and academics the students have displayed so far this year. We truly are impressed with our students and thankful we get to work with them and, by extension, you. Families are reminded that there is no school for students this upcoming Monday (Thanksgiving) or Tuesday (PD Day). Teachers and EA's will be hard at work on Tuesday learning new skills to help our students. Enjoy your long long weekend.

What a great day at MWS! Terry Fox Run, Orange Shirt Day, and a virtual author visit with Canadian children’s author Gordon Korman. Plus, we raised over $1500 for cancer research. I am proud of the efforts of our students to make ourselves and our communities better.

Reminder of our Annual School Council General Meeting on Thursday, Oct 1 at 6:30. All parents are invited to attend. We will be looking to fill the positions of Grade Level Representative for grade 4-6.
